Poem: all comes together

3 bottles of wine
Quitting time.
Zyn in time.

Jesus as a brother.
The sacrificial lamb.
Sacrifice what you love most.
Co-Heirs with Christ.

Burning one = saraph
Heart on fire

David and Goliah.
Coal mine, new time.
Mist king, little king.

No food at the circus.
Left a bit hungry.
Sandwiches at church.

Poison in the garden shed.
One prophet lied,
one prophet died.

Death and taxes.
Do what they say?
Novembers around the corner.

03-25-25 stepping up

πŸ“œ Proverbs 11:3 (NIV)
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithfulness of the treacherous destroys them.

πŸ“œ Proverbs 29:2 (NIV)
When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.

πŸ“œ Titus 1:7-9 (NIV)
Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not arrogant, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

πŸ“œ Exodus 18:21 (NIV)
“But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.”
πŸ“œ Micah 6:8 (NIV)
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

πŸ“œ Romans 12:8 (NIV)
if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

πŸ“œ Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

πŸ“œ Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

πŸ“œ Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Seek the quiet space says the song bird

Luke 5:16

“So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.”

1 Kings 19:11-12

“And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.”

Psalm 104:12:

“Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches.”

The science: A phantom road experiment reveals traffic noise is an invisible source of habitat degradation

A phantom road using an array of speakers to placed amongst the trees demonstrates the value of the quiet place.

Significance

Using landscape-scale traffic noise playbacks to create a “phantom road,” we find that noise, apart from other factors present near roads, degrades the value of habitat for migrating songbirds. We found that nearly one third of the bird community avoided the phantom road. For some bird species that remained despite noise exposure, body condition and stopover efficiency (ability to gain body condition over time) decreased compared with control conditions. These findings have broad implications for the conservation of migratory birds and perhaps for other wildlife, because factors driving foraging behavior are similar across animals. For wildlife that remains in loud areas, noise pollution represents an invisible source of habitat degradation.

Abstract

Decades of research demonstrate that roads impact wildlife and suggest traffic noise as a primary cause of population declines near roads. We created a “phantom road” using an array of speakers to apply traffic noise to a roadless landscape, directly testing the effect of noise alone on an entire songbird community during autumn migration. Thirty-one percent of the bird community avoided the phantom road. For individuals that stayed despite the noise, overall body condition decreased by a full SD and some species showed a change in ability to gain body condition when exposed to traffic noise during migratory stopover. We conducted complementary laboratory experiments that implicate foraging-vigilance behavior as one mechanism driving this pattern. Our results suggest that noise degrades habitat that is otherwise suitable, and that the presence of a species does not indicate the absence of an impact.

lizard brain vs the heart

🧠 The "lizard brain" refers to the reptilian complex (basal ganglia), which controls the instinctual behaviors, the impulsive desires: fight, flight, hunger, and reproduction.

It doesn’t process morality, long-term goals, or deep thinking. Our higher reasoning comes from the prefrontal cortex, which governs the moral and spiritual discernment: discipline, planning, and self-control.

Romans 7:15 (NIV) – “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”

Galatians 5:17 (ESV) – “For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.”

The Spirit in us is meant to override the flesh—aligning us with God’s will. In scripture, Jesus tells a parable about two sons, one who follows impulse and one who obeys after reflection:

πŸ“œ Matthew 21:28-31 (ESV)
"A man had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind and went. And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, ‘I go, sir,’ but did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.”

It is repentance that allows us to override the fleshly resistance and lead us into obedience.

James 1:8 (ESV) – “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Colossians 3:2 (NIV) – “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Jeremiah 17:9-10 (ESV) – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”

Ezekiel 36:26 (NIV) – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

1 Corinthians 6:12 (NIV) – “‘I have the right to do anything,’ you say—but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’—but I will not be mastered by anything.”

Galatians 5:16 (ESV) – “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”

Matthew 6:33 (ESV) – “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Romans 12:2 (NIV) – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

1 Corinthians 9:27 (ESV) – “But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”

Hebrews 12:11 (NIV) – “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

And so it is a transformed heart, guided by the Spirit, that overrides the "lizard brain" of sin-driven instincts.

Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) – “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Ezekiel 11:19 (ESV) – “And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.”

My instincts don't define me. But rather it is my surrender to Christ that does. 🏳️

Proverbs 30:28 (NIV) – “A lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.”

πŸ‘‰ Even the weak can thrive in the Kingdom, though small and insignificant.

It seems like yesterday we were fine: lesson on love and friendship

All relationships take work to keep it in shape and to take it to the hospital when it needs mending. But it is only successful when both halves want to keep it alive, even then it's a challenge to overcome. Hard to let love live when choices leave it bleeding out. Hard to let love live under oppression.

While a first aid kit of Christ's love (with time and growth) can heal it all, for love covers a multitude of sins, reconciliation is a choice and hard work. So is accepting the gift of forgiveness. The type of trouble some types of sin cause are great. Some are a significant enough to break the marriage covenant and some permit divorce. A rib removal while awake? Most unpleasant.

It is hard to witness and experience. I am, admittedly - glad for the lesson; through it the Lord's taught me much!

Most of all: a lesson on forgiveness and grace through Jesus.

Though sadly and not all will embrace that truth to its fullest potential.

"Father forgive them, they know not what they do"

Proverbs 13:20 – Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

1 Corinthians 15:33 – Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

Proverbs 27:17 – Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 22:24-25 – Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.

Psalm 1:1 – Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers.

Proverbs 12:26 – The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

2 Corinthians 6:14 – Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Proverbs 14:7 – Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge.

Proverbs 17:17 – A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

James 4:4 – Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God

Dream: The water recedes as I take flight for the olive tree

It was a waterworld... circa 2012... the last time I was awake perhaps:

I was rendered conscious to the hot sun glaring down on me while its rays burned my skin. A constant pain was present in my temple. Lifting my hand to block the sun, I saw dried blood flaking away in the light breeze. I touched the side of my head and pulled away, my fingers were damp with thick blood. I closed my eyes again, feeling out my body. I attempted to sit up, however my body thought otherwise, I turned to my side and retched dry heaves. I was looking down through a weathered fishing net. Below me, water rolled and tumbled past. I sat up. I was gazing across an empty expanse of liquid terrain.

Did I spend some time in the belly of a whale, like Jonah? Whose name means dove.

Paired with northern flicker for many years... I think I tried to fly away from the Lord? Hard to take flight when you run from destiny. Oh how many years I wrote off the revelations by the Lord! By not listening to my dreams? By living in disobedience. By ignoring His stirrings?

I repent of how I have quenched the Spirit with my choices of chemicals to mix:

Pink and blue,
Mixed to no hue.
A symbol of transparency,
Yet trapped in duality.

Colors merge, then drift apart.
A symbol of the restless heart.
In the mix, we find the key—
Truth’s not always what we see, but rather... what we believe.

So I seek the olive branch as the water recedes

No longer sick but in flight - a journey to serve the Lord. Time to use the nets. The strength of the Lord is with me. Beside me. Inside me.

Genesis 8:11 (NIV):
"When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth."

Ezer Kenegdo Prayer #2

πŸ‘‘ Where Is the One with Holy Fire? πŸ‘‘

Not just quiet virtue, but bold faith.
Not just gentle grace, but righteous fire.

Strong in Faith, Bold in Spirit.
Wise and Fearless, Warrior for the Kingdom.
A Queen for Her King, On Fire for God

πŸ“œ Judges 4:4-9 — Deborah was a prophetess and judge, wise yet fearless. She didn’t just advise—she went to battle. "If you go with me, I will go, but if you will not go with me, I will not go." (v. 8) She is fierce but faithful, strong yet submitted to God’s purpose.

πŸ“œ Proverbs 31:25-26 — "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." She is clothed in strength, not just softness. Her faith is unshakable.

πŸ“œ  Psalm 144:12 — "May our daughters be like corner pillars, cut for the structure of a palace." Not just delicate, but crafted for strength. A pillar, supporting something greater than herself.

πŸ“œ Micah 3:8 — "But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might..." Not just filled, but overflowing with fire, justice, and might.

πŸ“œ  Esther 4:14 — "And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" She knows her place in God's story. She does not shrink back.

I pray our love, though not awakened as it is before it's time, is as strong as death.

"Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like a blazing fire, like a mighty flame."

πŸ“œSong of Songs 8:6

But what is love if not surrendered to Christ?

True love is first a devotion to the King.

If it burns without direction, it consumes.

If it stands without obedience, it crumbles.

A love that does not bow to Him is not strong-  it is reckless.

A woman that bows before the King of Kings but stands tall in battle.

the crossroads

To be or not to be: A eunuch by choice? This question stands before me. I read that iron sharpens iron

πŸ“œ Proverbs 27:17 — As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

That it is not good for man to be alone.

πŸ“œ Genesis 2:18 — Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

So the Lord provides help. A Help Meet. This is the kind of thing He does—rescues His people. Ezer is the Hebrew word. How interesting is it that the help provided—it is from the Lord. In big ways, but also in small. For this word is used elsewhere to describe the Lord’s love for us:

πŸ“œ Psalm 33:20 — Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help (ezer) and our shield.

He loves His children. He cares for His sheep! They call Him the Good Shepherd, and His character suits. This I read:

πŸ“œ John 10:11 — I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

There are specific asks I have. Selfish ones for sure. Hard not to think of them. A desire for one who is wise, who seeks first the Kingdom. A little queen with a crown of dust for our short time here.

πŸ“œ Matthew 6:33 — But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

There is the next life, where joy and peace are in great abundance! So let us fix our eyes toward Christ’s return, for what is known as His bride: the Church.

πŸ“œ Revelation 19:7 — Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready.

These are all who put their faith in Him—Jesus specifically, the one raised from the dead, who died for our sins—how we have walked wickedly.

πŸ“œ Romans 3:23 — For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

A walk in the flesh. So it is better that most days are walks in the Spirit.

πŸ“œ Galatians 5:16 — But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

When we walk in the flesh, fleshly thoughts arise. These thoughts of the flesh must be imprisoned. Held captive in a holding cell. To be interrogated, questioned, and proved.

πŸ“œ 2 Corinthians 10:5 — We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

What to do with you? Who sent you? What are your intentions—do they line up with biblical truth and through the lens of a life that is living out a faith in Christ? He is the Savior of us all—if you believe! And repent. Both are key steps. Make it a surrender.

πŸ“œ Acts 3:19 — Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.

Hardship on this first earth is like fire. As metals are put through the heat, the impurities rise to the top. Dross is what they call it. Nasty, hot stuff. The junk. These are removed so that what remains is more pure. Easily shaped. Molded to a new form.

πŸ“œ Proverbs 17:3 — The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts.

So after the fire, I see the value in heavenly treasure. Gold and riches to last. A need for builders and teachers and prophets and servants.

πŸ“œ Matthew 6:19-20 — Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

πŸ“œ Luke 17:7-10 — Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’

And so I stand at a crossroads, in time and space though I am reminded I am not even guaranteed a breath for tomorrow.

πŸ“œ James 4:14 — Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

This is the season of new choices. So I pray and sing praises; asking for wisdom.

πŸ“œ Psalm 34:1 — I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

There was the gift in the past season of a marriage. And now a gift in the current season of availability. Challenge abounding in a marriage—the union of two for 11 years, 3 days. And now the joy of another challenge: celibacy.

πŸ“œ Matthew 19:12 — For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.

So regardless, I live as a eunuch by choice. And now I consider challenging that choice. Dating. This is an opportunity where I must be sure the belt of truth is securely fit.

πŸ“œ Ephesians 6:14 — Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.

So it will be as the flood that day and hour

The verses that echoed in the dance hall with the sound of boots stomping, music playing and couples dancing on the floor. Smiles and laughter were all around yet these will pale in comparison to the parties on the new Earth in our new bodies with our Redeemer King. The drink in my hand did not satisfy, like i thought it once did, even with a lime. The living water for eternal satisfaction is but only through Jesus Christ:

πŸ“œ Matthew 24:36-42 ESV
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.

Dream: Rejection at Christmas; silkworms at the market; pushed in front of the bus

Journal entry 02-29-24:

Had a dream I returned to my old job in a different state. "Dark honey" was pissed at me at me. We were at a Christmas market. It was shared that she never felt attraction for me. I had a friend with as a witness that validated my experience there. Dark honey was extremely cold to me- wouldn't even talk.

I stole an ibuprofen from a bottle in the store. Then the clerk offered one for free when checking out. A good reminder to be honest I thought.

Dark honey was mad the whole night. She answered "no" when a jewelry sales lady asked if she was married even though she had a ring on. Also touched silkworms at this booth.
Then she pushed me into the street.
I was hit by a bus.
Cops.
Restraining order.

(That part of being pushed in front of the bus was reoccurring a few times)

πŸ“œ Psalm 34:18 – "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

πŸ“œ Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) – "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

πŸ“œ Luke 16:10 (NIV) – "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much."

πŸ“œ Romans 12:2 (NIV) – "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

πŸ“œ Proverbs 12:22 (ESV) – "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight."

πŸ“œ Psalm 118:13-14 (NIV) – "I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation."

πŸ“œ Romans 8:28 (ESV) – "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

πŸ“œ Proverbs 21:15 (ESV) – "When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers."

Metaphor of a Table Turned

"To know the joy of a table turned, a table first has to be set against you," -my journal note, 03-12-2024

This is a metaphorical expression suggesting that to truly appreciate a reversal of fortune or a shift in power dynamics, one must first experience being disadvantaged or put at a disadvantage, like being positioned "against" a table set against you.

Perhaps the World Ends Here
By Joy Harjo

The world begins at a kitchen table. No matter what, we must eat to live.

The gifts of earth are brought and prepared, set on the table. So it has been since creation, and it will go on.

We chase chickens or dogs away from it. Babies teethe at the corners. They scrape their knees under it.

It is here that children are given instructions on what it means to be human. We make men at it, we make women.

At this table we gossip, recall enemies and the ghosts of lovers.

Our dreams drink coffee with us as they put their arms around our children. They laugh with us at our poor falling-down selves and as we put ourselves back together once again at the table.

This table has been a house in the rain, an umbrella in the sun.

Wars have begun and ended at this table. It is a place to hide in the shadow of terror. A place to celebrate the terrible victory.

We have given birth on this table, and have prepared our parents for burial here.

At this table we sing with joy, with sorrow. We pray of suffering and remorse. We give thanks.

Perhaps the world will end at the kitchen table, while we are laughing and crying, eating of the last sweet bite.

Poem: Blood Tears

Heartbreak for the breakthrough.

Something He saw, something He knew,

Pain He repaired,

With agape He cared.

My eyes are a lamp, tears shed with blood.

I now seek the five crowns, eyes anointed by mud.

A bearer of light, a bringer of truth,

All to Christ I owe, this is forsooth.

The white stone,

His death did atone.

Healed with a prayer, healed with laid hands.

Great is His mercy, and greater His plans.

Too focused on ezer, divided in heart,

My efforts wasted when I lose sight of what’s bought.

Though given a vow, it was too quickly dismissed,

Now eros is dead, but His grace I have kissed.

Ezer Kenegdo: A Prayer Poem and Petition Playlist

This lampstand seeks an olive tree,
A gardener east of Eden that is me.
Ant of dust, who's embraced a thorn,
A little king, no crown here or forlorn.
Leaves be green in burning days,
Each breath wind, each step a praise.
Hope in Christ, heart of flesh be true,
Was refined in fire and rib of clay won’t do.

Anatomy of the rib cage

This lampstand seeks an olive tree

πŸ“œ John 8:12 – "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’"

πŸ“œ Matthew 5:14-16 – "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

πŸ“œ Matthew 7:7-8 – "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."

πŸ“œ Proverbs 31:10 – "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies."

πŸ“œ Matthew 25:3-4 – "The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps."

πŸ“œ Romans 11:17 – "If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root..."

πŸ“œ Psalm 52:8 – "But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever."

πŸ“œ Hosea 14:6 – "His young shoots will grow. His splendor will be like an olive tree, his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon."

πŸ“œ James 1:5 – "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

πŸ“œ Zechariah 4:11-14 – "Then I asked the angel, ‘What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?’ Again I asked him, ‘What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?’ He replied, ‘Do you not know what these are?’ ‘No, my lord,’ I said. So he said, ‘These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth.’"

A gardener east of Eden, that is me

πŸ“œ Genesis 3:18 – "It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field."

πŸ“œ Genesis 3:23-24 – "So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After He drove the man out, He placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life."

πŸ“œ John 20:15 – "Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?’ Thinking He was the gardener, she said, ‘Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.’"

πŸ“œ Ephesians 5:1-2 – "Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."

πŸ“œ Matthew 13:3-9 – "Then he told them many things in parables, saying: ‘A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.’"

πŸ“œ 1 Corinthians 3:9 – "For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building."

πŸ“œ Luke 10:2 – "He told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’"

Ant of dust, who's embraced a thorn

πŸ“œ Genesis 2:7 – "Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life."

πŸ“œ Proverbs 6:6-8 – "Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest."

πŸ“œ 2 Corinthians 12:7 – "Or because of these surpassingly great revelations, therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me."

A little king, no crown here or forlorn

πŸ“œ Matthew 20:25-28 – "Jesus called them together and said, ‘You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.’"

πŸ“œ Psalm 8:5-6 – "You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of Your hands."

πŸ“œ John 18:36 – "Jesus said, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.’"

πŸ“œ Matthew 5:3 – "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

πŸ“œ 1 Peter 5:4 – "And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away."

πŸ“œ 2 Timothy 4:8 – "Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

πŸ“œ Revelation 3:11 – "I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown."

πŸ“œ Matthew 28:20 – "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Leaves be green in burning days

πŸ“œ Jeremiah 17:7-8 – "But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

πŸ“œ Daniel 3:27 – "They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them."

πŸ“œ Isaiah 43:2 – "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."

πŸ“œ 1 Corinthians 10:13 – "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

Each breath wind, each step a praise

πŸ“œ Genesis 2:7 – "Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life."

πŸ“œ John 3:8 – "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
