Oh how much truth there is! I spent a considerable amount of time looking at the words on the paper. Seeing the verses. Reading the promises. Definitely not feeling it but believing them to be true.
Yet still it cut through me.
'I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. '
John 17:14-17

There is a process of sanctification that follows the truth sometimes to a painful end. For all beginnings also have their ends, under this sun.
When the four horseman appeared the strand of three unraveled. So it was a painful and slow unwind. Not what I expected to happen or wanted. I waited and waited, prayed and hoped and my body failed, my heart mourned. A long wait in the dark clouds and despair.
But it is not as I would have it. It is finished. In the wake of this experience a new life is breathed into me. Much like the Valley of Dry Bones. I swear I deleted this blog ages ago. Why is it still here? For this season
John 1:1-5 ESV
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. For I begin not just a new chapter in my life. It's a whole a new book. The old is gone.
