Is this sound of heaven rain?
A coming day without pain?
Clouds that part the dark of night
but shine bright with Sword, a Holy light,
A Full Day when there is no more,
Of wicked sin and dreadful war.
Who then shall we fear or blame?
The Lord Almighty, praise His name.
King of great tiding, joy and peace,
all fear and sorrow soon shall cease
Joe 2:1 ESV — Blow a trumpet in Zion;
sound an alarm on my holy mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble,
for the day of the LORD is coming; it is near,
Isa 13:13 NASB20 — Therefore I will make the heavens tremble,
And the earth will be shaken from its place
At the fury of the LORD of armies
In the day of His burning anger.
Mal 3:1-3 ESV — “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts. But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD.
Dan 7:13-14 ESV — “I saw in the night visions,
and behold, with the clouds of heaven
there came one like a son of man,
and he came to the Ancient of Days
and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion
and glory and a kingdom,
that all peoples, nations, and languages
should serve him;
his dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away,
and his kingdom one
that shall not be destroyed.
Jer 4:23-26 ESV — I looked on the earth, and behold, it was without form and void;
and to the heavens, and they had no light. I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking,
and all the hills moved to and fro. I looked, and behold, there was no man,
and all the birds of the air had fled. I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a desert,
and all its cities were laid in ruins
before the LORD, before his fierce anger.
Isa 52:7-8 ESV — How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” The voice of your watchmen—they lift up their voice;
together they sing for joy;
for eye to eye they see
the return of the LORD to Zion.
Amo 3:3-6 ESV — “Do two walk together,
unless they have agreed to meet? Does a lion roar in the forest,
when he has no prey?
Does a young lion cry out from his den,
if he has taken nothing? Does a bird fall in a snare on the earth,
when there is no trap for it?
Does a snare spring up from the ground,
when it has taken nothing? Is a trumpet blown in a city,
and the people are not afraid?
Does disaster come to a city,
unless the LORD has done it?
Rom 10:15-21 NASB20 — But how are they to preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written: “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? On the contrary:
“THEIR VOICE HAS GONE OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH,
AND THEIR WORDS TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD.” But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says,
“I WILL MAKE YOU JEALOUS WITH THOSE WHO ARE NOT A NATION,
WITH A FOOLISH NATION I WILL ANGER YOU.” And Isaiah is very bold and says,
“I WAS FOUND BY THOSE WHO DID NOT SEEK ME,
I REVEALED MYSELF TO THOSE WHO DID NOT ASK FOR ME.” But as for Israel, He says, “I HAVE SPREAD OUT MY HANDS ALL DAY LONG TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE.”
